Makarska is a perfect place for sports and recreation because of its location, climate, sea and Biokovo mountains. The fact that confirms so is that many sport clubs and representations come to Makarska for the preparation period. We should mention Croatian Handball Representation, which comes to Makarska frequently for its preparation period (we can see that it was a successful time because of many medals won).
